Wolfville, ns wedding photography
Rachel and Isaac's Wolfville wedding was an absolute joy to be apart of. Bent Ridge Winery has been on my bucket list for venues because of the Latin and Italian inspirations that built the winery, so when Rachel first reached out and told me that they were planning to use the venue I was over the moon excited! I often say that my couples are some of the most relaxed on the planet, and Rachel & Isaac proved that once again.
The morning started with both parties getting ready at The August House, right in the heart of Windsor. If you haven't been, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. When I arrived, Rachel, her mom, sister and all of her bridal party were getting ready and it was nothing short of a good time. Music, good laughs and lots of love surrounded the entire room, while Isaac and his family got ready upstairs. It was a coordinated affair keeping them from seeing each other; they kept it traditional and wanted to save their emotional first look for the ceremony. After some fun photos with their respective parties, we set up Isaac so him and Rachel could have some photos together before the ceremony. You could feel the love and emotions radiating off both of them, knowing this was the start of their happily ever after.
Unfortunately, in true Nova Scotia fashion, the weather wasn't predictable in their favour enough. The team at Bent Ridge worked around the clock the morning of to shift to plan B: move the ceremony to the reception tent. The ceremony was small, intimate and full of emotions. A large portion of the bridal party consisted of family, from Rachels sister Maggie to Isaacs brothers and sisters making up his side. There was not one dry eye as the two shared their handwritten vows about their story leading up to this point and how much they truly love each other.
Almost like magic, warm fall sun filled the entire winery the moment the ceremony ended giving the couple a fairytale moment with a beautiful rainbow making an appearance over the tent. It was a gorgeous cocktail hour and reception, filled with emotional speeches and a choreographed first dance (check out that lift). To make it even more memorable of a reception, Big Fish came out to keep everyone dancing until the night was over with plenty of laughs and fun.
Rachel and Isaac, thank you so much for having me as a part of your day. Y'all are amazing and I'm wishing you so much love in the years to come.
